Y3 pupils will go swimming every Tuesday starting from 20th February, please can parents ensure that children come to school with their swimming kits on Tuesdays.

Dear families
On Friday 19th April 3.30 - 5pm we are holding an international day in the junior hall and on the junior yard. There will be a variety of food stalls, music and activities.

���� Y6 Sapphire Showcase Assembly ����
Good morning families
We would love to invite parents from Y6 Sapphire (Mr Sexton's) class to watch the Y6 showcase assembly On Wednesday 24th April at 10am. The children are so excited to showcase examples of work they have done so far this term. Please come along if you can.
���� Y3 Ancient Greece Day ����
On Thursday 25th April Y3 children will be taking part in Ancient Greece Day. The Y3 children can come to school dressed as ancient Greek rulers, and the children will be enjoying a Greek feast.

Yvonne Witter will be the guest speaker from Weston Park Cancer Support. All parents & carers are welcome.

The Y3 team would like to invite Parents to a MEET THE TEACHERS BREAKFAST to give you the opportunity to share breakfast with your child and to chat with your child’s teachers.

On Thursday 2nd May The School Photography Company will be in school to take the children’s individual school photographs for parents to purchase. As suggested by our parents we have arranged for the photographs to be available before Eid-ul-Fitr, for those families wishing to use the photos as lovely gifts.
Please can you inform the school office by the 30th April if you do not wish for your child/children to have their photograph taken.
If you would like younger siblings to be part of the family photo, bring them round to the junior hall at 8am or after school at 3.15pm. All other children will have their photos taken throughout the school day as normal.
*BANK HOLIDAY - CLOSURE*
Good morning families,
We would just like to remind you that as it is the May Day Bank Holiday Weekend, school will be closed on Monday 6th May to all pupils and staff.
School will reopen on Tuesday 7th May with breakfast club resuming from 8am as normal.

Dear Parent/Carer
Over the course of Year 3, we will be studying the Peak District in Geography. To support the children with their understanding of what the Peak District has to offer, we will be going on an educational visit to Matlock Farm Park in Derbyshire.
The visits will take place on:
Wednesday 5th June for Year 3 Citrine and half of Zircon.
Wednesday 12th June for Year 3 Tanzanite and the other half of Zircon.
To get a full day at the farm, we aim to leave school at 8.55am, so please drop your child to school at 8:40am. We expect to return to school by 4.00pm.
We are asking for £15.00 per child which covers the cost of the coach and entry to the farm. Please return payment in full and consent via the Arbor app.
For this trip, children must wear full school uniform including sensible shoes/wellies. You will need to provide your child with a packed lunch and a bottle of water with their name written on it. If your child is in receipt of free school meals a packed lunch will be ordered for them.
