This place has been around a long time! The food is pretty good, but the last time I visited (a few weeks ago), I thought it was overpriced. I had the prime rib and my date enjoyed her shrimp scampi. Both were done nicely, but at a price higher than average. The bar dining room vibe is terrific with a piano player/singer and a nice feel. The staff is pretty friendly as well. Overall, a nice place for a date night, but make sure you have a fat wallet!
I've come here several times with friends and family. The atmosphere is a little dated, but at the same time it is classic. The food is phenomenal. We've had everything from stone crabs to shrimp cocktail with filet mignon and their famous onion soup. There was never a complaint from anyone in our group. If you have a little wiggle room in your pocket, it is pricey, but worth every penny.
Wow... Mst have been a bad night. Food and service extremely poor. Runyons you failed me!
I have to say being a business owner I am really upset. My daughter gave me a hundred dollar gift certificate and I misplaced it. I called to explain and was told your out of luck we treat those as cash. I myself always kept records of any gift certificates I sold so in a case like this I could issue a new one to the patron. So Runyon's got my daughters hundred dollars and I never got a dinner. I am so disappointed. Maybe I could give them a good review if I ever got to eat there. Dinner is great at this Coral Springs institution. For a great lunch experience and nice specials, sit at the bar and visit with Sue, the best bartender I have ever met.
You wont be disappointed. If you are looking for somewhere to go for a special occasion try Runyons.
